Hi, I’m Claire and I’m the owner of The Hourly Small Business Support Services.

In 2018, I decided to create a ‘work from home’ environment that benefited my family’s needs. The flexibility of being self-employed enabled me to do some research on what small businesses really need to be successful, as well as getting some first hand experience myself!

My career background ranges from Administration through to Accounting, Management, Analytics and IT Projects. Most of my freelance experience seems to be helping small businesses gain momentum. Being their right hand when they think they need one, and anticipating when they’ll actually need one. I am always looking for ways to improve business operations and enhancing efficiencies.

My passion is to find the best business solutions for my clients, and I will always offer suggestions to make their lives easier!

What is a VA?

We are freelance business support specialists that can help you from anywhere in the world. I happen to be writing to you from the winter-less north, New Zealand.

What do we do?... Usually VA’s assist with administration, as well as having some sort of ‘niche’. I happen to be a jack of all trades and can usually help you with most things behind the scenes in business as long as a printer or a TV isn't involved!

We use cloud based tools to be able to access your data, time our work, dial into remote video meetings, plan our work, access systems, schedule your work and anything else that needs to be done.

The goal is that you can spend more time working on your business instead of in it, without the risk of employing a full-time employee. We do all our own taxes, and some of us can even help you with yours!

Because this industry is remote in nature, I have to work extra hard to ensure my clients trust me and the work I produce. In my prior career and in my current line of work I am a professional business problem solver and thrive in creating amazing solutions for clients. I’ve worked with one man bands all the way up to large corporations, as well as everything in between.
